ESUMA / 7th Gen Character Design ++

In the second half of our travels up north with Esuma, we flew back down to Montreal for a week to recuperate and restock for the next two weeks. Switching up the team, Taylor and Meg tagged out with Maxime and Destiny!
This time, we delivered workshops along the Ungava Coast, with this week being in Quaqtaq! Once we arrived, we were able to quickly team up with United for Literacy and Qaulirmat to work with youth already in summer camp.
Qaulirmat’s group of youth were older, ranging from ages 12-18 whereas United for Literacy had participants aged 5-12. For most of the week, we worked with Qaulirmat, teaching first the basics of Procreate. Participants quickly caught on, and we were excited to be able to share our expertise with them! However, we saw the excitement light up their faces with the introduction of Nomad, where the participants challenged themselves with 3D modelling.
While the older group went for a hunting trip, we made a one-day workshop with the younger kids. They learned the basics of drawing, and we let their imaginations run as they played on Procreate. As the group was very young, we let them draw what they wanted and gave tips on how to use the pen and brushes.
